Classroom Basics

Snack and Lunch
Second grade students will be having lunch at 1:10 this year. Therefore, we will be having our snack in the morning. I encourage students to bring a large nutritious snack to school each day. Due to school policy, please check ingredients to make sure that they don’t contain nuts. Milk is no longer available for snack time, so students will need to bring their own drink. They may also keep a water
bottle at their seats throughout the day.

Lunch account information can be found on the Food Services page located on the district’s main website. Also, if your child forgets his/her lunch, don’t worry! Lunch will be provided and a notice will be sent home letting you know your child borrowed money.

Dismissal Procedures
If your child has any change in his/her dismissal arrangements, please be sure to notify us in writing.  Please note that dismissal changes should not be sent via e-mail. There are times that the Internet is down or that I don’t have time to check it throughout the day. Students must follow their regular dismissal procedure unless a note is received from a parent or a phone call has been made to the office. If you are picking your child up at 3:05, please be sure to specify if you will be meeting your child in the lobby or using our vehicle pickup procedures

Birthdays
Robinson School has adopted a policy regarding birthday snacks.  In an effort to promote healthy eating habits and respect the individual medical needs of our students, we do not celebrate birthdays with food.  The students will receive a birthday surprise and will be sung to during our classroom morning announcements. Please note that summer birthdays will be celebrated in June. We appreciate your understanding and support as we make every effort to celebrate these special days in a healthy, safe, and fun manner.
